Their continued interest and planned utilization of cryptocurrency has opened broad opportunities, as the Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) reports 20,000 fintech job openings are expected to open once fintech firms are awarded principle licenses.
CEZA recently stated the opening of approximately 20,000 fintech jobs in association with cryptocurrency and fintech operations in Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZF). In line with this, highly-qualified Internet Technology (IT) professionals will be in high demand to take these positions.
Previously, CEZA had stated their awarding 25 principle licenses to fintech firms after carefully evaluating each firm’s qualifications. Among these firms are Golden Millennial Quickpay, Ultra Precise Investment, Ltd., and Liannet Technology, Ltd.
Secretary Raul L. Lambino, CEZA Administrator, stated that this move is expected to create an estimated P3.6 billion, including the $1-million investment from each of the 25 licensed firms.
